Who is responsible
Roverbravil Shore Ltd is responsible for personal information it handles through roverbravil.world and its correspondence. Our registered office is 24 High Street, Whitby, YO21 3HA, United Kingdom. Company no. 15384627. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or requests.
Reading the website
The published pages do not require an account. The site code does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, external font services or embedded social feeds. Requests to serve pages and local images necessarily disclose technical information to the hosting infrastructure, such as an IP address, requested address, browser information and request time.
Technical records may be used where necessary to deliver the website, investigate faults and protect it against misuse. The applicable basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning publication. We do not sell personal information.
The letter preparation tool
The Contact page processes the text you enter within your browser. Preparing a preview does not submit it to us. Copying uses your browser's clipboard facility; downloading creates a plain-text file on your device. The tool does not save drafts in cookies or local storage.
Your clipboard and downloaded file are under your control and may be accessible to other people or software using your device. Do not prepare sensitive information on a shared device. Clear or remove local copies when you no longer need them.
When you email us
If you choose to send an email, we receive your address, the contents of your message and any details or attachments you provide. We use them to consider your enquiry, reply where appropriate, review corrections and maintain necessary correspondence records. Our usual basis is legitimate interests in responding to readers and maintaining editorial accuracy. We may also process information to comply with legal obligations.
Please do not send health information, identity documents or other sensitive material unless specifically necessary and agreed. We do not use editorial enquiries to enrol you in marketing.
Service providers and disclosure
Hosting and email providers may process technical records and correspondence on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If processing involves an international transfer subject to data protection restrictions, appropriate legal safeguards must apply.
How long information is kept
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, including relevant legal requirements. Correspondence may be retained while an enquiry or correction is being addressed and for an appropriate follow-up period. Security-related records may need to be retained to investigate misuse. We review the need to keep information rather than treating all messages as permanent records.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests and receive certain information in a portable form. Rights are not absolute. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before responding.
You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You do not need to contact us first to exercise your right to complain to the regulator.
